Trackable Clothing Becomes the Latest Trend

Artificial intelligence is expanding in all directions, and that includes the observation in all the categories of people’s lives, previously we weren’t this closely watched, yet now even our clothes are monitoring instruments of your behaviour. Wonder where it will all end, well let’s see how it started in clothing. One of those was Tommy Hilfiger, who has just expanded its line of Tommy Jeans, and it now includes a sub-division that is tech-focused, it is called Tommy Jeans Xplore.

Tommy Jeans Xplore

Every accessory, hoodie or Demin style has now been embedded with a low-energy smart tag, Awear Solutions’ Bluetooth that connects the clothing products to an iOS app, it acts as a pointing platform that incentivises. For wearing these connected clothing, customers are to receive gift cards, access to exclusive brands, concert tickets, discount codes and US Tommy Jeans outposts.
It’s never been possible for any brand to track or understand what the consumer truly used their product or item for once it leaves the store was the comment Liron Slonimsky offered when asked about the Awear Solutions. This is all in aid of companies wanting to connect with the community that wears its items or more often seen as highly-engaged brand ambassadors. Thwarted by the fact that the new smart tag won’t go deep into the experience of the human wearing it. The iOS app still won’t understand what the wearer of the item is feeling or thinking aside from responding to classical conditions.

Uncertainty Surrounding Consumer Willingness

Obviously, there still is uncertainty about whether customers will relinquish their personal data control to Mommy Jeans by wearing the Xplore items. The question is would Tommy Hilfiger then have full authority to share the data globally with other brand divisions? Breaches such as the Facebook Cambridge Analytica comes to mind when one thinks of trust breaches, even when it is still challenging to quantify a pair of gig tickets against the inclusion of the data engine of a fashion powerhouse.

Personal safety and privacy are afforded by encryption and the ability to disable tracking via the app. But for disconnecting from Tommy Hilfiger it would mean the wearer disqualify from getting awards, is shut out from the Xplore community as this brand experience are preserved for those who won’t mind being switched on all the time.

Barriers continue to be broken down by AI advancements, and between fashion slaves and the company, the buzzword is trackable fashion, what the rest of us might call this is more in the line of traceable clothing items. But then again in the never-ending quest for newness, the hope that is left is that the industry will rather focus on the main transparency crises it faces in sustainability. Would you be one of the brand ambassadors that wears the new Tommy Hilfiger Xplore items to earn rewards?

A Summer Wedding To Remember…

For those of you who follow me on Instagram will have seen I attended the most beautiful wedding last weekend, two of my closest friends got wed and what a beautiful weekend it was.
The sun shone brightly, the dress code was black tie, the venue represented them well… everything was clean cut and most importantly WHITE, the band weren’t your average wedding band, it felt like they were an established chart hitting band, everything was elegant and simply perfect with a great mix of people.

I bought my dress from Biba, I love the way it fitted my hourglass figure, pulling in at the waist to excentuate my curves and to show off my smallest feature, my waist, the colour was just so elegant with the slight slit up to the knee on one side.
I’ve always been a fan of emerald green dresses ever since I wore the most beautiful taffeta party dress as a child which was emerald green. One thing about this bottle green dress was that no one else at the wedding had it, I’m not sure if Biba is just somewhere guests hadn’t thought to look or what but I loved it and it got so many compliments. I would love another occasion to be able to wear this dress again soon as I felt like a princess and due to the colour and style it’s perfect for any season.
My sparkly shoes are from Karen Millen and luckily I get to wear those beauties in a few weeks with my beautiful bridesmaid dress.

I would love to relive the weekend again but onwards to the next one as I plan a best friend’s hen parties for her in a couple of weeks of which I’m a bridesmaid for, I simply can’t wait!

YSL Spring Colour Variation Palette!

The YSL Colour Variation Palette may have been about for a few months now however I only just received mine recently when I was given it as a birthday gift.

This is such a beautiful palette with 10 gorgeous shades which range from nudes, frost  to matte, each of the eye shadows are ever so easy for application due to their ever so silky smooth texture. The palette’s shades were inspired by this Spring/Summer’s YSL fabric swatches and oh what a beautiful collection of colours they are.
I love nothing more than an eye shadow that only needs one application due to being so highly pigmented and that you don’t need to add numerous layers of it to get the full richness of colour that is displayed in the palette, these beauties last a full day and keep their depth of colour and shimmer, for that reason alone I would highly recommend you to get your mitts on one of these beauties soon.

I wear mine both quite natural and minimal for work day make up and more glitzy and more intense smokey look for an evening out, if you’re going away and need to pack minimal cosmetics this is the ideal palette to take with you as there’s something for every occasion in the beauty.

YSL describe this palette as having the “Highest chromatic power and with a texture that binds to the eyelid”.

Following a few other naughty yet irrisistable, can’t stop thinking about purchases recently from YSL I am now a self confessed YSL beauty addict… so this should prove to be a pretty costly addiction, err oops!
